For more than 40 years, the mission of the Friends
of the Crowell Public Library, City of San Marino has been to raise
money that the library can use to supplement the allocation from the City,
allowing it to keep its collections up-to-date and provide special services
it would otherwise be unable to afford.
Your Friends donation:
- Provides support for the Summer Reading Program.
- Helps fund activities and events such as One Book One City
- Provides funds to purchase equipment and items for the library.
The Friends also support staff development by funding staff attendance
at library conferences, consultants, and workshops.
The Friends' Board of Directors meets monthly, conducts an annual membership
drive, runs a used Book Shoppe and holds periodic book sales to boost
the amount of money we can give to the library. Books to be sold are culled
from the collection and donated throughout the year by local residents.
