How to Donate to the Crowell Public Library
There are many ways a person can contribute to the library!
- Join the Friends of the Crowell Public Library
- This is a major support group for the library, donating over $50,000
annually to fund adult and children's books, materials, and programs.
Memberships and book shoppe sales allow them to maintain this level
of support.
- Contribute to the San
Marino Public Library Foundation - Originally established to raise
community funds to build the new Crowell Public Library, they now focus
on long-term library projects which will need major funding. They are
currently working to establish an endowment to sustain the library through
the coming decades.
- Contribute to the purchase of any of the items on the staff wish list. These are items the staff has identified as important to creating
a positive library environment. Many of the items are expensive and
we welcome partial donations towards their purchase.
- Purchase a book from our Amazon.com
wish list. We urge you to buy selected titles from any bookstore
in the area; patrons do NOT have to purchase from Amazon. We especially
encourage support of Vroman's and San Marino Toy and Book.
- Volunteer
with the Friends or the Library!
- Donate gently used books for resale in the Friends Book Shoppe. Donations
can be brought to the library during any of our open hours. Books, DVDs
and VHS tapes are welcomed; no magazines, please!
